RICE v MEAT
As with most things in life, there are differing theories on effective methods of treating injuries.
RICE and MEAT are acronyms used to outline proven and effective methods of dealing with damage to specific tissues. The following pages provide some information on self-treatment of acute (recent) injuries using these methods.
For all but very minor strains, or where there is any doubt, it is best to seek advice from your therapist or your GP.
