Quit Smoking. Female client, 2 sessions:
I went to Gower Therapies to quit a smoking habit of 20 years & 20 a day. I knew I wanted to give up smoking but didn't know how as I don't have much will power at all and would be rubbish at just quitting or using patches etc.
After just one session, that was it. Smoking wasn't even on my agenda. I didn't think about it, didn't crave it, didn't want to do it and even when with friends that smoked, would just stand there and watch whilst thinking "wow! that's not having any effect on me whatsoever!". I did return for a second session just to make sure it was gone for good (and because I did just have this one residual reminder of the habit - my left hand kept coming up to my lips, as if there was a cigarette there!)
That was all nearly 8 months ago and I haven't been tempted since. I mean, it's not even a factor, being tempted. It's just not on the list of things to do, as if it never was. It's just like a delete button has been hit and that part of me is no longer with me. My worst time for needing a smoke was under stress and I have had several stressful situations since and still no thought to wanting a cigarette. It works people!
